AQUA ZUMBA IN THE CITY ---Aqua Boogie BABY (with Pictures)
Rosel Fann could definitely be dubbed as Metro Atlanta's 'come back kid' as far as recreational facilities are concerned. On the downswing, this center has had its share of trouble and scandal in the past. However that was THEN and this is NOW! Their NEW FULLY DEDICATED STAFF has a sincere aim to improve and enhance the health, fitness and wellness 'culture' of the community. I was given the profound opportunity to 'make a difference' at the center, by having an AQUA ZUMBA debut at its Natatorium.
People of all ages, MALES and females came out to Rosel Fann Rec Center for the Aqua Dance PARTY that was held on Saturday Feb 4th. What an energetic group!! All the clapping, shouting, wiggling and giggling was AWESOME, powerful and motivating. I was so hyped up and happy, just feeding off the energy of these beautiful aquatic dancers, one would have never known that a little more than 30 minutes prior to this class, I had just given my all in a Zumba Toning class a mere 15 minutes down the road (Hapeville). Did I feel it--NOT REALLY-- Because as the Honorable Mr. Robert Nesta Marley had sung:
One good thing about music...when it HITS you...you feel no pain...
The pool party participants 'aqua boogied' around the world in music and movement....from Latin America to the Caribbean whilst I NERVOUSLY added in a newer vibe that came straight out of West Africa. We rounded out our global experience with an aqua 'Soul' dance and a cool down song in remembrance of BOB Marley. Even the kids on the side lines were dancing and having a good time!! What an awesome experience with so many beautiful people and so many positive vibrations!!

Happy Birthday BOB MARLEY
Bob Marley was born Feb 6 1945 in Jamaica. He is responsible for spreading Jamaica music to a worldwide audience. Here are some photos I took of the OUTSIDE of the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston Ja. As a side note, Bob had had a longtime wish to reach out to African American audiences too. It some years after his death before that really happened, thanks in part to the more ethnic diversified, culturally tolerable and expressive youth in America.

Michelle Obama danced onto "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Thursday, Feb. 2, ready to dish about the First Family's dance floor skills, promote her Let's Move Campaign and show up host Ellen DeGeneres in a push-up challenge. The First Lady also revealed a dirty secret about President Obama's bedroom habits.Bing: Watch more clips from "The Ellen DeGeneres Show"
It seems our President likes things in order and thinks he's good at keeping after their bedroom, but the First Lady called him out on national TV.
"Does he pick up his socks? No, no, he doesn’t pick up his socks. He thinks he’s neat, but he has people who help him. I’m like, 'It’s not you that’s neat. It’s the people who pick up your socks. Those are the neat people.'"
"In Chicago, his idea of putting his suit away was hanging on the edge of the door," she adds. "He would just have jackets on the edges of the door. It's like, 'There's a hanger, you know?' No, he doesn't get neat points."
DeGeneres gave the president a pass, saying, "You gotta have some flaws."
The ladies seemed in agreement on that one, but they also had a big show down during the visit.
After the First Lady talked her workout regimen and DeGeneres admired her arms, the host said she enjoyed a good push up.
"I was just wondering if you can do more push-ups than I can do," DeGeneres said, kicking off some lighthearted trash talking.
"It depends on how your back is," Obama teased back. "I know you've got these back issues."
Challenged, DeGeneres stood up and took off her jacket. Obama followed suit and the ladies dropped to do push-ups, with the audience counting. DeGeneres lost steam at about 19.
Obama won the round with 25, and she could have kept going. "I just stopped," she said.
"And I thought it wouldn’t be good to show off the First Lady, so I stopped," DeGeneres quipped. "Because I thought, 'This looks bad that I’m going to beat her.' I’m 54 and you’re 48! How amazing is that?"
